THERAPEUTIC MUSIC PLAN
Education Couture's Therapeutic Music Plan (TMP) is an Arts Integration program that seeks to be a figurative "booster shot" to traditional literacy instruction. Using multiple modalities of coaching, the plan serves to address the varied landscape of learning that takes place in the general education classroom, as well as to scaffold learning in the diverse, individualized, non-integrated specialized setting. Designed to couple with traditional instruction; the TMP is meant to be a supplemental tool that can be used for Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. CCSS aligned, this program is intentionally varied in its' design to be intermittently hard--seeming sometimes easy, other times challenging-- it is "easily rigorous."
Via the arts, this program utilizes proprietary songs and engaging art projects to be a vehicle of fun reading foundation reinforcement. Choosing to incorporate therapy, with an approach we call "lit learning"-- this plan aims to take into account not only the social-emotional aspect of learning but also strives to address and remedy the negative stigma that dictates that school and learning are lame. Education Couture's Therapeutic Music Plan loftily aims to bring "learning into fashion". Also, it is worth noting, the TMP coaching model employs the scientifically proven benefits of promoting a positive, nurturing, loving and encouraging learning environment. The Therapeutic Music Plan is ultimately seeking to be a dynamic and rewarding reinforcement of foundation reading skills through the creation of art, music and positive play.
We are committed to reaching those students who have fallen through the gaps. Our mission is to provide a quality arts integration curriculum, which will aggressively and creatively increase the literacy rate by empowering students with the essential foundational skills to read, eliminating embarrassment regardless of their age and grade level; which in turn will decrease the achievement gap.

Universal Support
Designed to be used as universal support in the classrooms of early emergent readers. Using both music and movement, this model is an easy way to deliver the essentials. By way of the unique implementation of the TMP, we deliver lit language-- high-energy, high-frequency, high-impact "phoneme to word"engagement. It can be implemented for as few as 10 minutes daily and yield remarkable results! A quick, fun arts integration program to kick start the acquisition of early reading skills and introduce the emergent reader to as much language as possible.

LuxLearner
Small Group
Designed to optimally address the needs of readers who may have had difficulty or missed some foundational reading skills/building blocks along the way. Using our unique methods of scaffolding, and filling in the knowledge gaps as needed, the FOUNDATION Fill-IN is the perfect intervention plan to re-engage learners in the reading process via the arts, specifically through sound, original songs, encoding and decoding the phoneme-to-word relationship. This program is designed to identify and repair breakdowns of the struggling reader.

LuxLearner
Student Sound Coach
We developed the Sound Coach Mentor model specifically to provide targeted support to older students who are missing the essential early reading skills but have "aged out" of foundational literacy instruction. Mentors are trained in an age-appropriate fashion to deliver the "LuxLearner" model. This removes the stigma while enabling them to learn key foundational skills, and exhibit student leadership by teaching younger students (phonics mentee).
Family Phonics
Caretakers and family members are children's first teachers!
Imagine how far little ones can go if they receive systemic reading instruction both at home and at school. Family Phonics is Education Couture’s fun, family engagement approach designed to strengthen a lux learner’s reading foundation via a special blend of phonemic and phonics exposure, coupled with positive mindsets that encourage and support success.
Family Phonics is our art-infused resource toolbox that enables all caregivers to give pre-foundational reading exposure to their little ones.
The Family Phonics toolbox is comprised of a multitude of approaches for families, including a structured YouTube Channel with R&B/Hip-Hop reading music, social media challenges, Family Phonics Maker’s Lab, and a guided curriculum for caretakers.

Teacher Training
“Turnt Teacher” certification program, is a cool kids culture-centric teacher training that was born from a consistent chorus over the years of teachers requesting “to learn how to do what we do”.
The Turnt Teacher certification is our Pygmalion approach to not only training teachers on the Education Couture Therapeutic Music Plan, and mindsets for success, but also a re-invigoration and renewal workshop to update any educator’s toolkit.
This program is available online in self-directed modules, via in-school symposium/professional development workshops, or through ongoing sound coach training and support.
