THERAPEUTIC MUSIC PLAN
Education Couture's Therapeutic Music Plan (TMP) is an Arts Integration program that seeks to be a figurative "booster shot" to traditional literacy instruction. Using multiple modalities of coaching, the plan serves to address the varied landscape of learning that takes place in the general education classroom, as well as to scaffold learning in the diverse, individualized, non-integrated specialized setting. Designed to couple with traditional instruction; the TMP is meant to be a supplemental tool that can be used for Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. CCSS aligned, this program is intentionally varied in its' design to be intermittently hard--seeming sometimes easy, other times challenging-- it is "easily rigorous."
Via the arts, this program utilizes proprietary songs and engaging art projects to be a vehicle of fun reading foundation reinforcement. Choosing to incorporate therapy, with an approach we call "lit learning"-- this plan aims to take into account not only the social-emotional aspect of learning but also strives to address and remedy the negative stigma that dictates that school and learning are lame. Education Couture's Therapeutic Music Plan loftily aims to bring "learning into fashion". Also, it is worth noting, the TMP coaching model employs the scientifically proven benefits of promoting a positive, nurturing, loving and encouraging learning environment. The Therapeutic Music Plan is ultimately seeking to be a dynamic and rewarding reinforcement of foundation reading skills through the creation of art, music and positive play.

Our mission is to provide a quality arts integration curriculum, which will aggressively and creatively increase the literacy rate by empowering students with the essential foundational skills to read, eliminating embarrassment regardless of their age and grade level; which in turn will decrease the achievement gap.

Universal Support
Designed as a universal instructional booster for Pre-K classrooms, the TMP model accelerates learning beyond standard expectations. By integrating music and movement, it offers a dynamic and engaging way to deliver essential early literacy skills. Through its unique implementation, we introduce and reinforce foundational skills via—a high-energy, high-frequency, high-impact approach to ‘phoneme-to-word’ engagement. Grounded in the principles of neuroscience/science of reading, this fun arts integration program delivers remarkable results, kick-starting early reading skills while immersing emergent readers in rich, diverse language exposure.

Small Group
Rooted in the principle that ‘prevention is better than cure,’ we integrate small group sessions into our programmatic offerings to provide targeted support and enhance the effectiveness of TMP strategies. These sessions create an intimate learning environment where practitioners can focus on reinforcing foundational skills, addressing individual challenges, and promoting mastery of key concepts. By tailoring instruction to meet the unique needs of each group, we ensure that TMP strategies are not only taught but deeply understood and applied, fostering long-term success and confidence in young learners.
Lit Influencer
Our Lit Influencer program is a dual-purpose initiative that destigmatizes literacy intervention while fostering cross-generational teaching and learning. Readers in need of extra support in grades 5th-8th build key literacy and life skills and are empowered to co-teach and mentor Pre-K students. Through this process, older students reinforce their own learning while providing guidance, normalizing the idea of receiving support and repackaging what they’ve learned to help others. This mutually supportive learning environment provides Pre-K students with the opportunity to learn from ‘bigger kids’ they admire, making the instruction both deliberate and meaningful. Lit Influencers serve as mentors and co-collaborators, receiving quarterly stipends that instill a sense of responsibility and ownership in their roles.
Family Phonics
Caretakers and family members are children's first teachers!

Imagine how far little ones can go if they receive systemic reading instruction both at home and at school. Family Phonics is Education Couture’s fun, family engagement approach designed to strengthen a lux learner’s reading foundation via a special blend of phonemic and phonics exposure, coupled with positive mindsets that encourage and support success.

Family Phonics is our art-infused resource toolbox that enables all caregivers to give pre-foundational reading exposure to their little ones.

The Family Phonics toolbox is comprised of a multitude of approaches for families, including a structured YouTube Channel with R&B/Hip-Hop reading music, social media challenges, Family Phonics Maker’s Lab, and a guided curriculum for caretakers.

Reading Music
We create “reading music”—catchy, radio-ready earworms that make literacy learning both engaging and enjoyable. By using music as a medium to teach reading and comprehension skills, we integrate rhythm and melody into literacy instruction, creating a multisensory learning experience that enhances retention and understanding. Many of our songs focus on reading rules, reinforcing essential literacy concepts like phonics patterns, sight words, and decoding strategies in a way that feels natural and fun.
